Federal Agencies Need OMB Approval for Public Information Collections

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) must approve before collecting public information, and agencies must solicit public comment on proposed collections, including those for corporate average fuel economy standards for passenger cars and light trucks from 2012 to 2016.
