NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 2009 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from Harley-Davidson to allow the importation of 2009 FX, FL, XL, and VR series motorcycles that do not meet all federal safety standards, as they are substantially similar to US-certified models and can be modified to comply with regulations.
