Summary

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced the inpatient hospital deductible and coinsurance amounts for Medicare beneficiaries in calendar year 2007, as mandated by the Medicare statute. For CY 2007, Medicare Part A beneficiaries will pay a deductible of $992 and coinsurance rates of $248 per day for days 61-90, $496 per day for lifetime reserve days, and $124 per day for extended care services days 21-100.
