FAA Revises Airworthiness Directive for EMBRAER Model Airplanes
Summary
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is revising an earlier notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) for an airworthiness directive (AD) that affects certain EMBRAER Model airplanes, including the EMB-145, EMB-145ER, EMB-145MR, EMB-145LR, EMB-145XR, EMB-145MP, and EMB-145EP, as well as the EMB-135BJ, EMB-135ER, EMB-135KE, EMB-135KL, and EMB-135LR. The revised NPRM adds more airplanes to the applicability and aims to prevent loss of bonding protection in fuel tanks, reducing the risk of fire or explosion.
