Federal Agencies Need OMB Approval for Public Information Collections

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) must approve before collecting certain public information, and the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to solicit public comment on proposed collections, including those related to NHTSA's regulations on motor vehicle manufacturers.
