Hyundai-Kia America Technical Center, Inc. has granted a petition by Hyundai-Kia Motors Corporation to exempt the Hyundai Genesis vehicle line from the vehicle theft prevention standard, starting from model year 2009, as the proposed antitheft device is deemed effective in reducing theft.
