NMFS Opens Directed Fishing for Atka Mackerel in Eastern Aleutian District and Bering Sea

Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is allowing fishing for Atka mackerel in the Eastern Aleutian District and the Bering Sea subarea of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI) using fishing gear other than jigs, in order to reach the 2005 total allowable catch (TAC) limit for this fishery.
