EPA Proposes Boundary Correction for Phoenix Ozone Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to adjust the boundaries of the Phoenix metropolitan 1-hour ozone nonattainment area to exclude the Gila River Indian Reservation, in accordance with the Clean Air Act and the federal trust responsibility to the Tribes, to support the Gila River Indian Community's efforts to develop a comprehensive Tribal Implementation Plan.
