NMFS and Pacific Fishery Management Council Develop Amendment 19 to Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan

Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) have developed Amendment 19 to the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan to identify essential fish habitat, designate Habitat Areas of Particular Concern, and minimize fishing impacts on these areas, in compliance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act.
