NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming Jeep Cherokee Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from a company to allow the importation of 1994 and 1996 left-hand drive and right-hand drive Jeep Cherokee vehicles that do not meet all federal safety standards, as they are substantially similar to US-certified vehicles and can be modified to comply with regulations.
