NHTSA Completes Response to Petitions on Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for Head Restraints

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has partially granted and partially denied petitions to reconsider the 2004 head restraints standard, making changes to the backset requirement and other areas to address concerns about variability, consumer comfort, and seat back angle.
