Mazda Granted Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for CX-9 Vehicles

The US Department of Transportation has approved Mazda Motor Corporation's petition to exempt the Mazda CX-9 vehicle line from the vehicle theft prevention standard, effective for model years 2008 and onwards, due to the effectiveness of the antitheft device as a substitute for parts-marking requirements.
