Panoz Auto-Development Company Granted Temporary Exemption from Advanced Air Bag Requirements

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) granted Panoz Auto-Development Company a temporary exemption from certain advanced air bag requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 208, allowing the Panoz Esperante to be sold without these requirements, due to the potential for substantial economic hardship to the manufacturer and negligible impact on motor vehicle safety.
