Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. Granted Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for E-Line Chassis Vehicles

The U.S. Department of Transportation has approved Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC.'s petition to exempt its E-Line Chassis vehicles from the vehicle theft prevention standard, starting with model year 2006, due to the effectiveness of the antitheft device as a substitute for parts-marking requirements.
