Volkswagen Granted Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for Audi A4 Vehicles

The US Department of Transportation has approved Volkswagen of America's petition to exempt the Audi A4 vehicle line from the vehicle theft prevention standard, effective from model year 2007, due to the effectiveness of an antitheft device as a substitute for parts-marking requirements.
