Ford Motor Company Granted Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for Focus Vehicle Line

The U.S. Department of Transportation has approved Ford Motor Company's petition to exempt the Focus vehicle line from the vehicle theft prevention standard, starting with model year 2006, due to the effectiveness of an antitheft device as a substitute for parts-marking requirements.
