The NTP Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Alternative Toxicological Methods (NICEATM) has made two updated standardized in vitro cytotoxicity test method protocols available to estimate acute oral systemic toxicity in rodents. The protocols aim to reduce animal testing and request existing data on chemicals tested for acute oral systemic toxicity and in vitro cytotoxicity.
