US Proposes Changes to Veterinary Biological Product Regulations
Summary
The US government is proposing changes to the Virus-Serum-Toxin Act regulations to require veterinary biologics licensees and permittees to take immediate action upon receiving a notice from the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) to stop producing or distributing contaminated or unsatisfactory veterinary biological products. The proposed rule would also require licensees and permittees to notify wholesalers and other parties in possession of affected products to stop distribution.
