The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (L-DEO) has been granted an Incidental Harassment Authorization (IHA) to take small numbers of marine mammals during oceanographic seismic surveys on the Blanco Fracture and Gorda Ridge zones in the Northeastern Pacific Ocean, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).
