NHTSA Extends Parts Marking Requirements for Passenger Cars and Multipurpose Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is revising its procedures to process parts marking exemption petitions before the effective date and phasing in new requirements over a two-year period, in response to petitions for reconsideration of its 2004 final rule.
