US Agency Updates Driver License Verification Process

The US Department of Transportation has finalized a rule requiring states to verify driver eligibility through the National Driver Register and the Commercial Driver's License Information System, in compliance with the Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act of 1999, and to implement specific reporting codes by September 30, 2005.
