NHTSA Extends Phase-In Period for Rear and Side Impact Tests in Fuel System Integrity Standard
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has extended the phase-in period for the upgraded side impact requirements in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 301, Fuel System Integrity, in response to a petition from DaimlerChrysler Corporation, following a final rule that was finalized in 2005.
