NHTSA Terminates Rulemaking Proceeding for Rearview Mirrors

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has decided not to allow heavier vehicles to be equipped with passenger-side convex mirrors, citing concerns over safety benefits, following a review of data submitted by AM General Corporation.
