Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards; Child Restraint Systems; Child Restraint Systems Recordkeeping Requirements Amendment

The U.S. government is amending a safety standard for child restraint systems to allow online product registration on the owner registration form, potentially increasing registration rates and recall effectiveness, and to enable manufacturers to supplement recall notifications with e-mail.
