Mitsubishi Motors Granted Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for Mitsubishi Endeavor Vehicles

The US Department of Transportation has granted Mitsubishi Motors R&D of America a full exemption from the Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for the Mitsubishi Endeavor vehicle line starting with model year 2006, as the agency believes the proposed antitheft device will be as effective in reducing theft as required by the standard.
