Summer Flounder Commercial Quota Harvested for New Jersey in 2003

Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has announced that the summer flounder commercial quota available to New Jersey has been fully harvested for the year 2003, and vessels with a Federal fisheries permit for the summer flounder fishery are prohibited from landing summer flounder in New Jersey until additional quota becomes available through a transfer. This notification is required by regulations to inform New Jersey, vessel permit holders, and dealer permit holders of the quota harvest and the unavailability of commercial quota for landing summer flounder in New Jersey.
