Nissan Seeks Exemption from Two-Fleet Rule for Fuel Economy Compliance

Nissan North America, Inc. has petitioned the agency for exemption from the Two-Fleet Rule, which requires separate compliance with the Passenger Car Fuel Economy Standard for domestically-manufactured and non-domestically manufactured passenger automobiles. The agency will review the petition unless it determines that granting the exemption would lead to job losses in the U.S. motor vehicle manufacturing industry.
