NHTSA Amends Regulations for Defect and Noncompliance Notifications

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is updating its rules to require automakers to notify dealers and distributors of safety-related defects or noncompliance within a reasonable timeframe, as specified in the new regulations.
