NHTSA Amends Child Restraint Standard to Include Weighted Dummy for Heavier Children

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has updated its child restraint standard to include a new weighted dummy, the Hybrid III Six-Year-Old Weighted Child Test Dummy, designed to simulate the weight of children over 50 pounds, in compliance tests for child restraints.
