Regulations for Disposing of Recalled Tires Implemented by the U.S. Department of Transportation

The U.S. Department of Transportation has issued new regulations requiring tire manufacturers to develop plans to prevent resold tires from being installed on vehicles and to limit the disposal of replaced tires in landfills, as part of the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability, and Documentation (TREAD) Act.
