NHTSA Extends Deadline for Mercedes-Benz U.S.A. Child Restraint Anchor System Proposal

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has granted Mercedes-Benz U.S.A. an extension to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 225, Child Restraint Anchorage Systems, until March 1, 2005, after previously denying a petition for reconsideration in August 2004.
