NHTSA Corrects TREAD Act Rules for Foreign Safety Recall Reporting

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has revised its rules for reporting foreign safety recalls and campaigns related to potential defects, in response to a petition for reconsideration and to align with statements made in the final rule published in 2002.
