Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Seeks NHTSA Decision on Noncompliance with FMVSS

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has submitted a grant of application to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) seeking a decision that noncompliance with certain Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) is inconsequential to motor vehicle safety. This move comes after Goodyear received a notice from the NHTSA requesting a proposal to address the noncompliance issues.
