NHTSA to Hold Public Meeting on NexL Sports Products Motorcycle Helmet Noncompliance

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will hold a public meeting on May 14, 2003, to discuss its initial decision that NexL Sports Products' 'Beanie DOT Motorcycle Helmets' (model 02) do not meet federal safety standards, and to determine if the company's proposed remedy for its model 01 helmets is sufficient.
