Motor Vehicle Safety: Disposition of Recalled Tires

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is proposing a rule to amend regulations regarding the disposal of recalled tires, requiring manufacturers to notify NHTSA of safety-related defects and provide quarterly reports on recall progress, in compliance with the Transportation Recall Effectiveness, Accountability, and Documentation (TREAD) Act.
