NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 2003 Harley Davidson Motorcycles
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from Harley Davidson to allow the importation of 2003 FX, FL, and XL motorcycles that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they are substantially similar to US-certified vehicles and can be modified to comply with safety regulations.
