NHTSA Amends Child Restraint Standard to Allow Vest Use on School Bus Seats

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has amended its child restraint standard to permit the use of vests that hold preschool and special needs children in place during a crash on school bus seats, effective immediately and with certain restrictions starting February 1, 2003.
