NHTSA Allows Importation of Nonconforming 1999-2000 Mercedes Benz Gelaendewagen MPVs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has made a decision allowing the importation of 1999-2000 Mercedes Benz Gelaendewagen Multi-Purpose Passenger Vehicles (MPVs) that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they have safety features that comply with or can be altered to comply with these standards.
