BMW Secures Exemption for MINI from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard
The U.S. government has granted BMW of North America, Inc. an exemption from the Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard, allowing the company to install an anti-theft device as standard equipment on its high-theft line, the BMW MINI, instead of marking parts as required by the standard.
