NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 2002 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced receipt of a petition from Harley-Davidson, requesting that the agency determine that certain 2002 FX, FL, and XL motorcycles are eligible for importation into the US due to their substantial similarity to US-certified vehicles and their potential for modification to meet safety standards.
