NHTSA Proposes Updates to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for Side Impact Protection and Fuel System Integrity
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is proposing to update the Federal motor vehicle safety standards for side impact protection and fuel system integrity by requiring radial tires instead of bias ply tires on moving barriers, and deleting outdated specifications for those barriers.
