Motor Vehicle Safety: Acceleration of Manufacturer's Remedy Program

The proposed regulations aim to expedite manufacturers' remedy programs for defective vehicles by aligning with the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability, and Documentation (TREAD) Act's Section 6(a), which allows the Secretary of Transportation to accelerate remedy programs if they pose a risk of serious injury or death and can be reasonably achieved through expanded replacement parts or authorized repair facilities.
