NHTSA Proposes Rule to Prevent Resold Recalled Tires

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has proposed a rule to implement Section 7 of the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability, and Documentation (TREAD) Act, which requires tire manufacturers to develop a plan to prevent resold recalled tires and limit their disposal in landfills.
