Office of Fossil Energy Grants Authorization for TransCanada to Import Natural Gas from Canada

The Office of Fossil Energy has granted TransCanada Gas Services, a division of TransCanada Energy Limited, long-term authorization to import up to 68,463 Mcf of natural gas per day from Canada, with the gas to be sold to Yankee Gas Services Company, Connecticut's largest natural gas distribution company, through October 31, 2006.
