NMFS Announces Additional Workshops for Longline Vessel Operators

Summary

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is hosting four more workshops for longline vessel operators in 1998 and 1999 to educate them on avoiding marine mammals and sea turtles, and to gather feedback on management options for the pelagic longline fishery, in compliance with the Magnuson-Stevens Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
