General Motors Corporation Seeks Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard for Chevrolet Lumina/Monte Carlo Line
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has granted General Motors Corporation's petition for modification of the vehicle theft prevention standard for the Chevrolet Lumina/Monte Carlo line, allowing the company to install an antitheft device as standard equipment starting with the 2000 model year.
