NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming Triumph Thunderbird Motorcycles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from Triumph Motorcycles to allow the importation of 1995-1999 Thunderbird models that do not meet all federal safety standards, as they are substantially similar to previously imported models and can be modified to comply with regulations.
