Tesla Applies for Waiver of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for Certain Model 3 Vehicles

Tesla Motors has submitted a request to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for a waiver of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108, which governs the use of lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment in vehicles, citing noncompliance with the standard in certain Model 3 vehicles.
