NHTSA Proposes Exemption for DeTomaso Automobiles, Ltd. from Average Fuel Economy Standard
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has proposed granting DeTomaso Automobiles, Ltd. an exemption from the standard average fuel economy requirement of 27.5 miles per gallon for model years 2000 and 2001, and instead sets an alternative standard of 22.0 miles per gallon for these years.
