NMFS Announces Adjustments to Pacific Coast Groundfish Fisheries
Summary
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has announced adjustments to the Pacific Coast groundfish limited entry fisheries for several species, including Sebastes complex and Dover sole-thornyhead- trawl sablefish, to keep landings close to 1997 harvest guidelines and provide management flexibility during the final months of the year. The changes include an increase to the monthly cumulative limit for the open access nontrawl sablefish fishery north of 36 deg. N. lat.
